Trichos

Alopecia & Scalp Conditions Need Medical Diagnosis First

Scalp conditions and hair loss disorders rarely have a single cause. At Trichos, our dermatologists assess your scalp, medical history, and clinical findings before any treatment is advised. Most conditions are treated non-surgically.

  • Dermatologist-led consultation
  • Scalp disorder assessment — alopecia areata, totalis, scarring forms
  • Diagnosis-based care — not one-size-fits-all
  • Most conditions treated non-surgically

How It Works

Hair Transplant Process

1
Consultation

A detailed medical consultation with a qualified doctor. Scalp, hair loss pattern, donor area, and overall suitability are carefully assessed.

2
Hairline Planning

Based on your medical evaluation, the doctor designs a hairline natural to your age, facial proportions, and future hair loss outlook.

3
Graft Extraction

Grafts are extracted carefully to protect the donor site and scalp health. Only healthy grafts are selected, with emphasis on long-term results.

4
Implantation

Precise placement of grafts at natural angles and density to achieve a natural, balanced outcome.

5
Recovery & Regrowth

Quick healing with minimal downtime. Visible regrowth starts around month 3 — final results appear between months 9–12.

The hair transplant was completely painless. Hair has grown really well after the hair transplant in the consecutive months. Doctor and the staff were very helpful through the process.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Treatment depends on the type and cause. Patchy alopecia areata often responds to medical treatment. Scarring alopecias need different management. Hair transplant is sometimes appropriate, sometimes not — diagnosis comes first.
Persistent dandruff or scalp itching may indicate seborrheic dermatitis, fungal infection, or psoriasis — each needs different treatment. A scalp examination tells us which.
No. Most scalp and alopecia conditions — including alopecia areata, telogen effluvium, and inflammatory conditions — are treated medically with topical, oral, or injectable therapies.
Yes. Medical assessment is required before any treatment is recommended. Online photos and self-diagnosis often miss the actual condition.
A transplant may help in stable scarring alopecia or non-active patches once the condition has been quiet for 12+ months. It is not advised in active alopecia areata or unstable scarring conditions.
We evaluate older teenagers (16+) on a case-by-case basis. Most paediatric scalp conditions are referred to specialists; we do not perform transplants on patients under 21.
